The Famous Phrase I Am Okay, an article by Vanessa Kabore, LEYA

What does it mean? Does that mean that you feel good? What does it mean to feel good to you? What is good? What is not so good? If you are okay, why choose to stay quiet? Why choose to lie? Why choose to cheat? Why choose to hide? Why to choose to refrain oneself? Why to choose to sabotage yourself? Why choose to take refuge in work, social networks, alcohol, drugs, multiple partners, and so on? Why there is so much anger, aggression, fatigue, extremes? Why depigment the skin? Why perpetuate the divisions with ways of thinking such as "Africans are like this or like that", "I will never understand Africans", "Women are like this", "Men are like that"? Why do you think we are one of the only people to feel so much disenchantment for ourselves and for each one of us other? Free on paper we all are, but how many of us are free spirits? Yes, we all know that it is the inside that commands the outside, but how many of us embrace it into our way of life? Salvation and Faith are to be found within, not outside! Yes, learn to think for yourself, trust yourself and step back from the formatting imposed by the system. Yes, get to know yourself. Discover your strengths, your talents. Work on your challenges and take your place!
